My name is Nita Zwennis and I am currently seeking a permanent position as a Senior Pastry Chef. I am looking for a professional position within a well-established and  people orientated company, with a drive for success and a caring nature for their staff. I have previous experience as an Assistant Lodge Manager, Head Chef. Sous Chef and Head Pastry Chef, as well as running my own catering business part time during College 2010 – 2014.


My outgoing personality suits a working environment that will enable me to work with people, I will fit into a fun and friendly yet professional working environment very easily as I get along with all kinds of people. I have a love and passion for the Bush and Animals, that I enjoy learning more about in my free time. I enjoy meeting new people and sharing my passion with them; I am outgoing, loyal, hardworking, honest, true to myself and Trustworthy. Demonstrating my creative talents with my love for Pastry has always been one of my many passions. “Life is uncertain – eat dessert first!”


My computer skills include full Microsoft Office proficiency including Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word. I am fluent in English although my first Language is Afrikaans. My tertiary education includes Level 3 IVQ Professional Chef Management Diploma which includes an Advanced Management Diploma in Pastry, as well a Certificate in Game Lodge Management & Economics and a Professional Food & Beverage Certificate. Following my long life dream I have recently enrolled to complete my FGASA Level 1 Guiding and Wildlife Management! I always believe to follow your dreams and be a “Goal Getter”. In my spare time I also enjoy bird watching, baking, developing new dishes, event organizing, reading as well as drawing. I believe that food is what brings people together; one of the duties that I enjoy the most is Developing new Dishes and Pastry Items. Experimenting with new, fun and creative ideas for menus to ensure guests enjoy a full flavour, new tastes and beautiful food is one of my Biggest Passions and is what I enjoy the Most. Another Aspect of my Duties that I enjoy is guest relations and liaison. I love to be friendly & interact with guests from all around the world.


I prefer a working environment that offers challenges daily and would love a position that allows me to live out my Passion as well stimulate my creative side. My motivation and self-organization makes me the perfect candidate for a Head / Sous Pastry Chef. My attention to detail and creativity will surely be an advantage to any future position.
